The Battery Revival

Anyone out using a apple laptop or really any laptop that's battery is starting to run short here are some steps that can be performed in a day to revive some of the hidden power still lurking in the cell. Do this re-calibration at a time when you don,t need to use your computer.

  1. Fully charge your laptop computer, leave the charger in for at least another 2 hours
  2. Disconnect the charger from your computer and use your computer until it goes to sleep. This happens after the warning occurs. Just keep going.
  3. Leave your computer for at least 5 hours UNPLUGGED. Or just leave it overnight.
  4. After this long wait plug it back in and let it fully charge.
  5. You have now successfully calibrated your battery, it should yield a better life.

MacHeist

Here we are with another very worthwhile mac "thing" this isn't a program but just by signing up at MacHeist.com you receive TWO very useful programs. These two programs are WireTap by Ambrosia Software, a program that allows you to record any sound that you can hear your computer play, from the inside NO MIC! And also a program called BitClamp by Crimson Sky Software which helps to make incripted files with a interface similar to AppZapper.

You may notice that nothing is really happening on this site. This is because the last software package that they put forward was in Jan and the next may well be next year so subscribe to their feed and you will be rewarded in the future.

Come and Take a Look Around

I have created this blog to give some links to interesting sites and the like that I have found very useful. As well I will be making some of my small discoveries over the web known. There are too many little things that many mac users don't even realize they have the capability to do but are built in to mac with easy interfaces or you can do with free programs on the web. Some of my posts will have lists or info on programs that are free or shareware and are worth checking out. As well there will be links to popular feeds and sites that I like to visit. I am currently working on the look of this Blog and any ideas for a better 'look' would be very welcome. Thanks and enjoy the content of this blog.
